“I’ve been involved in competitive sports since my middle school years; over time it transformed from traditional sports to Obstacle Racing, Road races, and other various fitness competitions that involve strength over running ability. With that being said, I was very narrow minded about improving my performance until a year ago when I opened my options to sports & therapeutic massages (amongst other methods). This has been one of the best investments I have done to date as far as improving all-around performance.

Massages can benefit any athlete/active person, regardless of the activity. For me, massages have helped reduce pain, prevent injury, reduce recovery time, and increase focus. Having slowly migrated from being primarily a lifter to now a seasoned runner, I realized that my sport (Obstacle Course racing) is very physically and mentally demanding; I need to not only work on keeping the strength gained from defaulted workouts, but I also need to build an extraordinary cardiovascular base since obstacle racing is in the end, a runner’s sport. My training regimen often consists of working out twice in a day throughout a week, cross-training, and my race season has involved various races as little as a week apart-multiple times in a month. This year, I have experienced soreness and strain to a higher degree than ever before, and sports massages have played a vital role in allowing me to make it through the year uninjured. Massages benefit the muscular system and ties directly to cardiovascular gain-both of which I need. Sports massages helped relieved muscle tension I feel non-stop, reduce soreness from racing back to back weekends, multiple weeks in a month at times, and helps me recover faster. This in turn helped increase my range of motion and flexibility, which in turn leads to better athletic performance.

Regardless of your role in in the active lifestyle, I highly recommend everyone looks into getting massages. With this (accompanied by rest and other recovery methods), I have been able to constantly train and compete in races/competitions/events from April all the way to the end of October without getting injured. The benefits are astounding and, here at Infinite Sports World, the remarkable job done by massage therapist Julia Chase speaks for itself and is reason this is the only place I attend. “ - William C.
“Julia worked with me several times as part of my half ironman training. She really took time to understand my specific problem areas and tailored each session to address those areas. My massage therapy work with Julie was an integral part of my training.” - Kendra I.
“ I must admit that before our first appointment, I (like many others) viewed massage as just a ‘luxury.’ Sure, a massage can be a luxury, howevery you exposed me to a different outlook on them, which is another step towards my journey of becoming a healthier person. Throughout my journey I have been given daily workout challenges, one on one strength training sessions, how to fuel my body, attended kettlebell classes which are new to me, and thanks to you I’m learning how to tune into my body, take queues from my body, and most importantly, prepare my body for the next week’s challenges…Oh, yea, also my headaches aren’t nearly as frequent! A huge thanks, Julia!!! Thanks for being a part of my journey! “ - Kim M.
